In a statement on Sunday (February 1, 2026), he said the Budget is the best possible under the present global political turbulence and economic challenges. “The Budget aims to fulfil three key Kartavyas — accelerating economic growth, meeting the aspirations of the people, and realising the inclusive mission of Sabka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas,” he said.

He welcomed the focussed measures announced for MSMEs, handlooms and textiles, bio-pharma, rare earth minerals, infrastructure, manufacturing and Special Economic Zones, stating that these initiatives would significantly contribute to employment generation. He also appreciated the steps taken to empower vulnerable sections by improving access to mental health and trauma care services, and the import duty relief on 17 life-saving drugs including cancer medicines, and the inclusion of seven rare diseases for similar concessions.

Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav said the Budget extends meaningful support to farmers, fishermen, weavers, persons with disabilities, women and youth and it reflects the continued momentum of the “Reform Express” initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly through sustained tax reforms and a strong commitment to fiscal prudence.
