Brungi Vahana seva performed in Srisailam

The processional deities of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple were taken out on Brungi Vahanam on the second day of Sankranti Mahotsavams at Srisailam on Tuesday (January 13, 2026).

On the second day of the seven day festivities, the temple priests performed special rituals and pujas to the presiding deities apart from japams and parayanams. Srisailam temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao said that Kailasa Vahana seva will be performed on Wednesday (January 14). On the occasion of Bhogi, Bhogi bonfire will be held on Wednesday early morning. The temple will also be organising Bhogi ‘Pallu’ to children within five years of age in the morning.
