Defending the policies and priorities of the Revanth Reddy government, TPCC general secretary Chanagani Dayakar accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao of systematically weakening the State’s education system. He claimed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy deliberately retained the education portfolio to rebuild it with transparency and urgency. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, he reiterated that the Congress government’s top priorities remain education and irrigation, contrasting them with what he described as KCR’s neglect and politicisation of schooling. Mr. Dayakar argued that BRS has no moral ground to criticize Congress, especially on education reforms, and questioned why its leaders were upset over efforts aimed at improving facilities for poorer children. According to him, the government is establishing integrated schools that he believes are unmatched nationally as part of a non-discriminatory education policy the Congress is trying to implement. He criticized the Gurukul school system under Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao. Appealing to government teachers, Mr. Dayakar urged them not to fall for political narratives being spread by BRS leaders. Continuing his criticism, he described BRS leader and former IPS officer R.S. Praveen Kumar as an agent of Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao.
