BRS leaders lodging a complaint against Congress, BJP leaders in Hyderabad on Thursday. HYDERABAD A delegation of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by its general secretary and former IPS officer R.S. Praveen Kumar on Thursday lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police requesting action against TPCC working president T. Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dharmapuri Arvind for abusing police officers on duty during the municipal elections. Submitting a representation/complaint to Additional DGP (Law & Order) Mahesh M. Bhagwat here on Thursday, Mr. Praveen Kumar demanded that Mr. Jagga Reddy and Mr. Arvind Kumar’s immediate arrest for using filthy language against the police officers on duty. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy who is also holding the portfolio of Home must also quit for his inability to protect the self esteem of the police, they said. Mr. Praveen Kumar stated that in Sangareddy, Mr. Jagga Reddy accompanied by some ‘rowdy sheeters’ used filthy language against police officer Shivakumar Yadav, who had played a key role in nabbing a mafia don in Hyderabad in 2009, and received the President’s Gallantry medal. He pointed out that Abbas, one of those accompanying Mr. Jagga Reddy, was not a voter of Sangareddy and had several criminal cases registered against him, including a murder case booked in Golconda police station. Similarly, Mr. Arvind too had used filthy language against a home guard on duty at a polling station in Nizamabad. When the government could register a case against a journalist for a report on Naini coal block tenders, what was stopping it from doing the same in case of two leaders for using filthy language against police officers on duty, the BRS leader asked.
