Book on Ramayana’s women characters launched

A book tilted Stree Ramayana — The Voice of Consent, Courage and Equality, that explores the Ramayana through the perspective of its women characters, was launched in the city on Thursday.

The book, written by Tiruchi resident Jaisri Raju Sriram, was released by senior BJP leader H. Raja. A literary review of the book was presented by Abdul Mohamed Ali Jinnah. The programme concluded with a “Harikatha” by Kathiyayini, V.S. Vishal, and N. Giridhara Srinivasan.
