A body was found floating in the newly constructed sewage pumping well in Palavakkam on Wednesday. Police said the residents of Palkalai Nagar of Palavakkam alerted the Neelankarai police of a person found drowned in the sewage pumping well. Immediately police along with fire and rescue services personnel of Thiruvanmiyur station fished out the body and sent it to Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem.
