Ltd. for financial participation in the construction of the DRDO Sports Complex Metro Station under Phase-2A of the metro project. Under the agreement signed on Friday, the Bagmane Developers will contribute ₹40 crore towards the station on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) corridor, which connects Central Silk Board to K.R. Puram. Of this, ₹20 crore has already been remitted. The company will also support enhancements to the station’s interior and external facade, according to a release. In return, the BMRCL will grant naming rights of the station to Bagmane Developers for a period of 20 years, subject to approval from the State government. The proposed name is “Bagmane DRDO Sports Complex Metro Station”. Officials said the agreement follows a grant-based participation model, where the private partner contributes to capital expenditure during the construction phase. The rights are limited to naming, with no additional commercial or advertising entitlements. The DRDO Sports Complex station is part of the 19.75-km ORR corridor comprising 17 stations, expected to ease congestion and improve sustainable urban mobility in Bengaluru. This is the sixth agreement under the BMRCL’s innovative financing mechanism, with two more such partnerships in the pipeline.
