Reacting to the episode, BJYM Prakasam district president Shingothu Rajesh Verma termed the conduct of the Congress members inappropriate. Under his leadership, BJYM activists also attacked the Congress party office in Ongole. He warned that if such incidents recur, the organisation would intensify its protests. BJYM Prakasam district general secretary Talupula Nayak and other members took part in the demonstration. In Tirupati, BJYM leaders organised a dharna and criticised the Congress for what they described as attempts to disrupt national events. BJYM Tirupati district president Bandaru Partha Saradhi alleged that such actions hamper the country’s development and technological progress. He said the people had already expressed their displeasure and would deliver a clearer mandate in the days ahead. He added that any move to obstruct the Prime Minister’s initiatives for the country’s development would be opposed through democratic means.
