Union Minister for Coal & Mines G. Kishan Reddy will inaugurate a three-day conference on ‘Advanced Carbon Materials (CACM-2026)’ being hosted by the Indian Carbon Society, in association with International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) from February 18–20 at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus.

The three-day conference will bring together over 500 delegates, including leading researchers, industry experts, start-ups, and policymakers from India and select international institutions. The central theme: “Transforming India with sustainable carbon technologies,” reflects the growing role of advanced carbon materials in national development and technological self-reliance.

Former Secretary of Department of Science and Technology, Ashutosh Sharma, who is also the chairman of ARCI governing council, will deliver the plenary talk. Experts will be talking about cutting edge topics such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, quantum dots and advanced carbon technologies.
