Photo: @APDeputyCMO/X via ANI Gates Foundation Chairman Bill Gates was all praise for the adoption of advanced technologies in governance and citizen service delivery, during his visit to the RTGS (Real Time Governance System) Centre at the State Secretariat in Guntur district on Monday (February 16, 2026) Led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Mr. Gates observed how the integration of the latest technologies with administration facilitated swift delivery of citizen services. Mr. Naidu explained the Sanjeevani and Data Lake projects, WhatsApp Governance, and also apprised him of the progress made in the construction of the capital city Amaravati. Mr. Gates appreciated the streamlining of citizen services through Data Lake and WhatsApp Governance, and called the efforts going into the development of the capital city as ‘great work’. The CM said the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) growth was being estimated periodically through Key Performance Indicators. On being asked how land records were protected, officials told Mr. Gates that the documents were secured by using blockchain technology and QR codes. Mr. Gates expressed satisfaction on the implementation of Sanjeevani Project which started as a pilot in the Kuppam Assembly constituency represented by Mr. Naidu. As part of Sanjeevani, digital health records were prepared for improving the healthcare services. The CM said the State government was focused on using AI in healthcare on a large scale and it planned to render ‘bio-design medical services’. Mr. Gates has emphasized that offering diagnostic services at low costs would immensely benefit the poor, suggesting that the GoAP should give top priority to it.
