The police have registered a suo motu case against State president of the Bhim Army youth wing Santosh Pala for hurting religious sentiments by posting offensive remarks on social media. The case relates to a Facebook comment posted from an account in Pala’s name on a post by writer Banu Mushtaq with remarks offensive to the Muslim community. A video posted on social media by Pala in his official capacity as State president also includes derogatory language and comments insulting to religious sentiments. Police officer Subhash, who monitors social media, has recommended action against Pala. The Ashok Nagar Police have registered the case. They are investigating the matter.
