Bhaskar Reddy Vemireddy, currently serving as judicial member of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT), Vijayawada Bench, has been appointed as the vice president of the GSTAT Andhra Pradesh State Bench.

The appointment has been made by the President of India as part of a nationwide exercise to designate vice presidents for GSTAT State Benches, aimed at strengthening the tribunal’s institutional framework.

According to office order no. 01/2026 dated March 23, 2026, issued by the Government of India under Section 109(7) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, a total of 22 Judicial Members across the country have been elevated as vice presidents for their respective State Benches.

A distinguished legal professional, Mr. Bhaskar Reddy brings with him extensive experience in tax laws and litigation. He earned a strong reputation in indirect taxation, with expertise in Goods and Services Tax (GST), Central Excise, Customs, Sales Tax, and related fiscal statutes. Prior to his elevation to the Tribunal, he maintained an active practice in tax litigation and appeared before various judicial forums, including High Courts and Tribunals.
