Bharath condemns attack on social media activist

Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath on Monday (January 12, 2025) condemned the attack on a social media activist and said that his supporters were not behind the attack.

In a statement issued here on Monday, Mr. Bharath said that some people are blaming his cadre and supporters for the attack on the social media activist without knowing the facts. He said that he was informed that the social media activist was addicted to bad vices and there were rumours that he was attacked due to his bad habits.

Stating that he will never encourage physical attacks, Mr. Bharath said he would not tolerate any attempts to threaten or attack his cadre. He said those who are involved in the attack on the social media activist will be punished as per law.
