Dignitaries inaugurating the CA Foundation Entrance-cum-Scholarship Examination and Career Guidance Workshop at CB Degree College in Bhalki on Sunday. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT Around 300 students from different taluks of Bidar district participated in a CA Foundation Entrance-cum-Scholarship Examination and a career guidance workshop on Chartered Accountancy organised at CB Degree College in Bhalki of Bidar district on Sunday. The programme was organised by the Department of Commerce of SVE Society’s Shri Channabasveshwar College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Bhalki, with the aim of promoting professional education and creating awareness about the Chartered Accountancy course. Inaugurating the programme, SVE Society general manager Surendran R. stressed the importance of professional courses and urged students to make use of the opportunities available within the region. He highlighted the growing demand for Chartered Accountants in India and abroad and encouraged students to aim high. Chartered Accountant Sumit R. Bharadia delivered a detailed session on the CA course, explaining its stages, career prospects, earning potential and global opportunities. He also addressed common misconceptions and guided students on how to successfully pursue the course. Presiding over the programme, college principal Santosh Kumar S. Teerthe appreciated the initiative and reiterated the institution’s commitment to providing quality professional education. CA Coordinator Sandeep Raj, in his introductory address, urged students to enrol in the CA Foundation course integrated with B.Com. He said that eight students from the institution have cleared the CA Foundation examination, several were pursuing Intermediate and one has progressed to the CA Final level. He also announced that admissions are open for the fifth batch (2026–27). IQAC Coordinator and Head of the Department of Commerce Vithalrao Patil, faculty members Wasina Khan, Akshata Patil and staff of CB Degree College were present.
