With a focus on mobility, digital governance, solid waste management, healthcare upgrades, and revenue generation, the West City Corporation on Saturday (March 28, 2026) presented its maiden budget for 2026–27, pegging total receipts at ₹4,732.81 crore and expenditure at ₹4,732.73 crore. This is said to be the largest outlay among the five corporations. 

Commissioner K.V. Rajendra, who presented the budget, outlined a range of measures aimed at improving civic infrastructure while expanding non-tax revenue streams. Of the total receipts, ₹2,541.73 crore is expected from revenue sources, along with ₹200 crore through loans.
