A total of 574 paying guest (PG) accommodations received awareness notices from the Central Corporation following inspections were carried out across the corporation limits to verify if PGs are complying with the prescribed guidelines. Of the total, eight PGs that failed to maintain proper kitchen hygiene were sealed. Moreover, the corporation also imposed penalties amounting to ₹3.09 lakh throughout the month-long drive for various violations and deficiencies reported within PGs across Shantinagar, C.V. Raman Nagar, Gandhinagar, Shivajinagar, among other areas.
