The recognition, based on real-time passenger feedback and the ACI ASQ programme, is the world’s leading benchmark for airport customer experience, capturing passenger satisfaction through globally standardised, in-journey surveys. The awards recognise airports that consistently deliver strong performance across parameters such as service, comfort, convenience, and cleanliness. “Passenger feedback highlights KIA’S strong performance across arrivals in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport, with improvements in processing times at immigration and baggage reclaim, wayfinding, terminal comfort, and digital services, contributing to a smoother and more predictable flow through the airport. This is reflected in the rise in overall customer ratings from 4.98 to 5.00, indicating sustained gains in passenger perception,” Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) said. The services/parameters in which the airport ratings improved in 2025 compared to 2024 are — Wi-Fi, flight display on carousel screens, availability of carts/trolleys, comfort of waiting areas, walking distance inside terminal, waiting time before retrieving baggage, waiting time before deboarding aircraft, waiting time before immigration ease of finding your way (signage). “For us, every arrival is a moment of responsibility. By aligning every touchpoint from aircraft to kerb, we ensure a seamless and coordinated arrival experience.
