The Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana Party (BCYP) headed by Bode Ramachandra Yadav is organising a public rally titled BC (Backward Classes) Simha Garjana opposite Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) on February 22, 2026. It is intended to press for key demands related to the BC mainly including the enactment of a BC Rights Protection Law, enhanced financial allocations for BC Corporations and the conduct of a comprehensive caste census in Andhra Pradesh. The participating leaders will also press for 44% reservation to the BC communities in education, employment, local bodies, and legislative bodies. Mr. Ramachandra Yadav is expected to outline the party’s future course of action during the meeting. The High Court on February 21 granted permission for organising the BC Simha Garjana while disposing of a petition filed by Mr. Yadav. He approached the court with the grievance that his request for permission to hold the event was denied on unjustifiable grounds. Senior advocate Y.V. Ravi Prasad appeared on behalf of P.V.G. Umesh Chandra, counsel for the petitioner, while Government Pleader A.Jayanthi represented the Home Department.
