The workers of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) on Friday removed all the unauthorised banners which were installed on NSC Bose Road. The Hindu in a report, Unauthorised banners on NSC Bose Road pose challenges to motorists, published on January 9, 2025, had highlighted the problems these illegal banners and hoardings posed to pedestrians. GCC officials had been quoted as saying they would remove the banners if they had been erected without permission.
