Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday criticised the Congress government’s attempt to resume 50 acres of allotted to Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Mr. Kumar sought to know if the government is trying to loot university land worth several crores of rupees. . “A government that cannot provide basic facilities now wants to sell off lands worth thousands of crores meant for students’ future,” he said. He stated that administration should not meddle with educational institutions. Implying selective action, he questioned as to why no was taken against Owaisi brothers, who he said had encroached upon Salkam Cheruvu where they run an educational institution.
