In a bid to encourage learning beyond classrooms, Avadi Municipal Corporation has launched industrial visits for Corporation school students. The civic body also plans to hold summer camps for students this year. R. Saranya, Avadi Corporation Commissioner, said nearly 95 students from class VIII and above visited three centre of excellences of Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, including Tamil Nadu Centre for Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing, earlier this week. The students were given an orientation on robotics, artificial intelligence, IoT and new trends in manufacturing.
