All arrangements are in place for ‘Pagalankarana’, the main ritual of the 11-day Maha Sivatri Brahmotsavams, at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam on Sunday.

The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth darshan of devotees visiting the temple during the occasion. Kurnool Range DIG Koya Praveen, Collector Rajakumari Ganiya, Superintendent of Police (SP) Suneel Sheoran, along with temple executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao reviewed the arrangements for Pagalankarana and the facilities provided for the devotees.

Mr. Praveen directed police officials to make bandobust in the queue lines and also on the roads leading to the temple. The DIG also suggested officials to deploy additional forces taking into consideration the devotee surge during Pagalankarana. He asked the police officials to monitor the situation continuously from the command control room and appealed to the devotees to maintain restrainwhile having darshan.

Meanwhile, Collector Rajakumari Ganiya reviewed the arrangements at the Patalaganga bathing ghat, rest houses, main roads, queue lines from the CCTVs at the command control room and directed officials to maintain the queue lines properly.

Meanwhile, 80,000 devotees had hassle-free darshan and were offered prasadam and food by the temple management, on Friday, she said.

For the devotees trekking through the forests, the district administration, along with voluntary organisations, have made arrangements for drinking water, medical facilities and food at 13 places. Ambulances and medical staff were also made available, she said.
