A young Indian army officer died of a heart attack while swimming in Belagavi on Sunday. The MLIRC officer hailing from Haryana Amit Singh had gone for a swim in the Commando Wing Army Camp in Nanawadi. He suffered a heart attack and drowned. Lifeguard Pradeep Kumar and others brought him out, provided first aid and shifted him to the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences. But he was declared brought dead. Officers from the Tilakwadi Police Station visited the hospital.
