In an administrative reshuffle ahead of the Assembly elections, the State government has transferred several IAS officers, including Kasaragod District Collector K. Inbasekar. Arjun Pandian, currently serving as the District Collector of Thrissur, has been appointed Kasaragod Collector. Tourism Director Shikha Surendran has been posted as the new Collector of Thrissur. The government order does not specify the next posting of outgoing Kasaragod Collector K. Inbasekar. Arjun Pandian, a 2017 batch Kerala cadre IAS officer, hails from Elappara in Idukki district. Beyond administration, he has earned recognition in mountaineering. He was honoured as the Best Collector by the Women and Child Welfare department for 2024-25. K. Inbasekar, who assumed charge as Kasaragod Collector two years ago, is being moved after overseeing several development initiatives in the district.
