Buses from all depots in the district recorded more than 100% Occupancy Ratio, says Regional Manager B. Appala Naidu

The Visakhapatnam region of APSRTC recorded a historic single-day revenue of ₹1.90 crore on January 19, with the operation of special buses to clear the heavy return rush after the Sankranti festival.

Regional Manager B. Appala Naidu said nearly 100 special buses were operated from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Amalapuram and other towns on January 19. On Tuesday, January 20, up to 60 special buses were being operated and additional services were arranged based on passenger demand. He commended the officials, supervisors and staff for their collective efforts that led to the record revenue. The special bus services would continue till January 24. He added that buses from all depots in the district recorded more than 100% Occupancy Ratio.
