Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav said appointment orders have been issued on Wednesday (April 1) to 482 candidates with MBBS qualifications for the posts of medical officers in Primary Health Centres and tutors in teaching hospitals.

The recruitment and counselling process was conducted online and the deadline for submission of options was extended till 9 p.m. on Tuesday and appointment orders were issued on Wednesday. Those who received the orders must join their duties within 15 days, he said in a press statement.

Around 5,000 applications were received for 636 posts, including both medical officers and tutors. A selection list was announced on March 11. Excluding sports category, there were 611 posts, and 482 candidates responded.

Candidates gave their preferences in order of priority for all posts announced hospital-wise. Based on these preferences, posting orders were issued online, said Director of Public Health K. Padmavathi.
