The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) will conduct public hearings on proposed power tariff revisions for the 2026–27 financial year from January 20, according to APSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Shivashankar Lotheti. In a release on Friday, he said that the four-day exercise would be chaired by APERC Chairman P.V.R. Reddy, and organised across the Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Kurnool regions to elicit public views on the Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) filings submitted by the State’s power utilities. The first hearing would take place on January 20 at the APSPDCL corporate office in Tirupati, followed by sessions on January 22 and 23 at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada, and the final hearing on January 27 at the APERC office in Kurnool. The hearings would be held from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Officials from the Energy Department, AP-Transco, AP-Genco, and the Discoms would participate. Public participation would also be enabled through video link at the district-level offices, with live streaming arranged for wider access, Mr. Lotheti said.
