The Andhra LiFE for Nature Summit 2026, a platform on sustainability and climate resilience, will be held on March 17 and 18 at Hyatt Place in Vijayawada, bringing together policymakers, scientists, media leaders and community practitioners.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday (March 16, 2026), CMS Vatavaran Director General Vasanti Rao said  that the first day will include a policy roundtable on integrating ecology into governance and development planning. On the second day, a multi-stakeholder dialogue will focus on partnerships among communities, institutions, civil society and media to advance environmental action in the State. During the summit finale, the Andhra Pradesh Green Ambassador Awards will be presented to environmentalist Komera Anka Rao for his conservation work in the Nallamala region and Soundarya Manohari Velamati for her contributions to rural development, water restoration, and women-led community initiatives.

The summit will conclude with a session titled “Sahaja Samvad: Advancing Regenerative Development in Andhra Pradesh”. It would highlighting key outcomes and collaborative actions aimed at building a greener and climate-resilient future for the State, she said.

C Raghavachari Media Academy of Andhra Pradesh chairman Alapati Suresh Kumar said that the environment and life issues have been as old as civilisations. “The environment was nothing but our life; if not protected it would lead to destruction. Policy makers, pressure groups such as media have to ponder over the environmental issues and concerns while making and implementing the policies and developmental programmes,” he said.

The Habitats Trust Director Rushikesh Chavan also addressed the media.
