RAGU PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss on Saturday criticised the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government after a video allegedly showing an inebriated Class 8 student surfaced online. He termed the visuals ‘disturbing’ and blamed the government for failing to curb easy access to alcohol among minors, alleging neglect of student welfare, while prioritising liquor sales. Dr. Anbumani also questioned enforcement of age restrictions, citing reports that a college student below 21 had procured alcohol for the minor. He sought accountability from Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and criticised the DMK for not addressing prohibition or substance abuse in its manifesto.
