Union Home Minister Amit Shah hoisted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s flag at the party’s State headquarters, Mararji Bhavan, in Thiruvananthapuram as part of its 47th foundation day celebrations on Monday. BJP State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar presided over the ceremony. Senior leaders including BJP national general secretary and party in-charge for the upcoming Assembly polls in Kerala, Vinod Tawde, and Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and co-in-charge Shobha Karandlaje, and party Kerala in-charge Prakash Javadekar, national secretary Anil K. Antony, State general secretaries M.T. Ramesh and S. Suresh, and Thiruvananthapuram Mayor V.V. Rajesh were also present on the occasion. Later, Mr. Shah interacted with party workers in a closed-door meeting before leaving for Haripad where he participated in a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) poll campaign.
