All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi wrote to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy seeking a review and implementation of of the pre-poll Minority Declaration, and pointed out that most of the promises announced before the elections have not been honoured.

Mr. Owaisi pointed out that except two promises, action on the rest is yet to be initiated.

“Even as the minorities in the State are expectantly awaiting the implementation of these promises, there is virtually no word from the government on the status and timeline for the implementation of these promises,” Mr. Owaisi wrote.

The AIMIM Floor Leader pointed out that steps for initiating the sub-plan for minorities have not been initiated. Furthermore, ₹1,000 crore annually for loan subsidy for unemployed youth and women remain unfulfilled.

The financial assistance in the form of Taufa-e-Taleem to PhD scholars, post-graduates, graduates, intermediate, and Class X students too has not seen the light of day, he said. An amendment to the Telangana Minorities Commission Act too is pending, he pointed out.

Mr. Owaisi said that no visible reclamation of waqf lands from the hands of encroachers, and protection of Muslim as well as Christian graveyards is seen, he added.
