Advocate Akash Vishwanath More is set to contest as Congress candidate in the Baramati assembly constituency bye-election , the party said in a statement released on 5, April. “The Congress President, Shri Mallikharjun Kharge has approved the candidature of Adv. Akash Vishwanath More as Congress Candidate for the ensuing bye-election to the Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra from 201-Baramati Constituency,” the release read. The seat was vacant after the constituency’s elected MLA and the deputy Chief Minister of the State Ajit Pawar died tragically in a plane crash. From the Mahayuti, Sunetra Pawar, Ajit Pawar’s wife will file nominations for the seat. The NCP (SP) decided not to field a candidate in the constituency.
