Rangasamy on Saturday exhorted party workers to approach voters in the coming Assembly polls with “confidence as the government has fulfilled most of the assurances given to the people.” “We are going to face Assembly polls very soon. You can go to voters with confidence as we have fulfilled assurances given to the voters during last polls and in the Assembly,” he said addressing party workers during AINRC’s foundation day celebrations at ECR. Comparing the performance of the previous Congress government with his administration, the Chief Minister said around 4,500 vacancies have been filled in various departments. The ration shops which remained closed during the tenure of Congress were opened and rice distributed to card holders. Along with rice, the government recently launched distribution of two kgs wheat to ration card holders, he said. “People should compare our government with that of Congress. The administration got paralysed because of the constant fight the Congress government had with the Centre. Whereas, we have been able to fulfil promises with the support of Centre. So, party workers can approach voters with confidence to seek another mandate for us,” the AINRC founder said. Minister for Public Works K. Lakshminarayanan and party legislators were present.
