The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) severed its short-lived alliance with Humayun Kabir-led Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) on Friday (April 10) in West Bengal, just two weeks ahead of the Assembly election.

The party announced that it will contest the upcoming polls independently.
