AIG Hospitals inaugurated an Integrated Stroke Command Centre, a facility aimed at initiating stroke management from the moment an emergency call is received, significantly cutting down delays in diagnosis and treatment. The facility was inaugurated by IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu.

The centre is designed to enable seamless, real-time coordination between the emergency call centre, advanced life-support ambulances, radiology services, neuro-intervention teams and hospital command staff. “Through live communication and continuous monitoring, the system allows pre-hospital transmission of patient data, and early activation of stroke protocols even before the patient reaches the hospital,” said a release.

D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospital, said that outcomes in stroke care are largely determined by how quickly treatment begins, and an integrated, technology-driven approach could help Telangana emerge as a national model for stroke prevention and management.

Mr. Sridhar Babu noted that medical emergencies like stroke require speed, preparedness and coordination, and said that such models were highly relevant to the public healthcare system.
