The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has received a bid in excess of ₹2,100 crore from Genius Sports for the Indian Super League (ISL) and Federation Cup for a span of 20 years. The AIFF announced on Friday that it had opened commercial bids for the ISL, Federation Cup (formerly Super Cup), Indian Women’s League (IWL), and the IWL 2. The floated tender included rights for 15 years, with an option for a five-year extension. Moreover, the proposal also includes a five per cent increase in value every year over the duration of the agreement. Genius Sports was the highest bidder at ₹2,129 crore for men’s domestic football. It was much higher compared to the DreamSports-owned FanCode, the broadcast partner for the ongoing ISL season. FanCode offered approximately ₹36 crore for the first season, with the total bid coming to over ₹1,190 crore. It is also learnt that the Reliance-owned Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) came in with a late proposal for an extension of its previous deal — which expired on December 8, 2025 — but that was rejected by the AIFF. Meanwhile, Capri Sports was the lone bidder for the top-two divisions of women’s football, with a bid of over ₹150 crore. The company owns the UP Warriorz franchise in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and Bengal Warriorz in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). “Genius Sports has come up with a bid of over ₹2,100 crore for 20 seasons, while Capri Sports has bid between ₹150 and ₹160 crore,” M. Satyanarayan, the AIFF’s deputy secretary general, told Sportstar. “We are happy that people are interested in Indian football. The bid evaluation report will be presented at the executive committee meet on March 29”.
