AIADMK’s Kuthalam North Union Secretary V.K. Senthilnathan has resigned, alleging that weak candidates have been chosen in Mayiladuthurai and Nagapattinam districts, raising concerns over the party’s prospects in the delta region. He said he had been with the party since 1972 and served as Vazhuvur panchayat president (1996–2016) and district secretary after Mayiladuthurai was formed in 2021.
