Hoteliers say menu prices are set to rise by at least 10%, as input costs continue to climb. | Photo Credit: File Photo Hotels in Bengaluru are once again under pressure after the price of commercial LPG cylinders was hiked by ₹202 on Wednesday, in Bengaluru, marking the second increase in less than two months. The impact, hoteliers say, will be felt across the supply chain, with hoteliers having no option but to pass on the burden to customers, again. Menu prices, they say, are set to rise by at least 10%, as input costs continue to climb. The latest revision in commercial LPG cylinders has come at a time when the Union government has also not reinstated the ₹150 discount that bulk buyers earlier received on the MRP, which was withdrawn during March owing to tensions in West Asia. With the latest hike, the price of a commercial LPG cylinder in Bengaluru has risen from ₹1,981 to between ₹2,161 and ₹2,183. This follows an earlier increase of ₹115 on March 7.
