The event witnessed hundreds of participants from the institute and elsewhere, in the 10 km and 20 km routes on campus. Warm-up sessions, zumba, and other community engagement activities were included. Director of IIT-H B.S. Murty said that fitness and well-being are integral to education. Plans are underway to integrate sports into the academic framework, with sustained participation in sports being linked to academic credits.
