Awaiting permanent housing, residents of Sengalputhur and Bambalakombai have had to move into temporary sheds. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT More than 20 Adivasi families, who were sanctioned government housing in Coonoor, have been left homeless for the last few months after work on construction stopped when the residents complained about the quality of housing as well as lack of space. As the construction of the houses had already been undertaken, and their previous homes demolished, the families have had to survive the last few months in temporary sheds.
