A vessel carrying cargo at the Adani Krishnapatnam Port in SPSR Nellore district. | Photo Credit: HANDOUT Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) on Thursday announced that it has handled cargo of 59.22 million metric tonnes (MMT) in the financial year (FY) 2025-26, registering eight per cent growth in throughput over the previous year. It claims to have recorded the highest monthly volume of 5.85 MMT in June 2025, since the inception of the port. “The port has handled as many as 1,071 vessels and record cargo of 59.22 MMT with customer focus approach, operational excellence, infrastructure strength, technology adoption, and seamless coordination. It had also diversified its cargo by adding new ones such as laterite, soda ash, rock phosphate and yellow peas,” the company said in a press release.
