A group of social activists on Wednesday (March 18, 2026) submitted a memorandum to retired judge Justice K.N. Basha for the promulgation of a separate law against honour killings in Tamil Nadu. Last year, the State government had constituted a Commission headed by the retired judge to recommend a legislation to prevent honour killings and caste-based murders.
