Achievers honoured as part of Women’s Day celebration

Ahalia Women and Children Hospital here celebrated the International Women’s Day by honouring nine women who made their mark and contributed to the society in their respective areas.

Those felicitated were edupreneur Susan Tomy, athlete and body builder Bhumika Senthilkumar, makeup artist Lijoy Puthenkudy, wildlife photographer Aswani Gajendran, artist Sreeja Pallam, educationist Lisy Y., postwoman Sabana, farmer F. Elizabeth Mary, and autorickshaw driver Sabari.

A dance competition for women was also organised on the occasion. Hospital’s chief medical officer D. Lakshmi inaugurated the programme. Gynaecologists Sukrithi and Deepti spoke.
