An accused in the sensational Walayar lynching case, was found dead near his house at Attappallam in Walayar, Palakkad, Kerala, on Wednesday (April 8, 2026) morning. The case pertains to the killing of Dalit migrant worker Ram Narayan Baghel, a native of Chhattisgarh. Vinod Kumar, 54, from East Attappallam, who was found dead, was the sixth accused in the case. The police suspect that he died by suicide. His body has been shifted to the Government District Hospital, Palakkad, for postmortem examination.
