Image used for representational purpose | Photo Credit: Getty Images The Bantwal Rural police arrested Taj Mohammed Yusuf, who was absconding for the last 12 years, in a case registered against him under the provisions of the Foreigners Act. A team of police personnel, comprising constables Shivanand Maddi, Siddappa and Praveen, apprehended Yusuf from an area in Karkala in Udupi district on Tuesday. He was produced before the jurisdictional court on Tuesday, and the magistrate remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody.
