The ‘masi magam’ car festival of Sri Aadhikumbeswaraswamy temple, Kumbakonam was held on Saturday. The wooden car festival forms part of the annual festival, which commenced with the hoisting of holy flag at the temple on February 21. Decorated idols of the presiding deities were placed on the wooden cars and pulled along the streets around the temple.
