Madras, April 29: The Navy’s survey ships, Darshak Jamuna and Sutlej, hoped to complete survey of the entire Indian coast by 1982 to ensure the safety of navigation by home and international shipping in Indian waters, the commanding officer of INS Darshak Commander M.K. Tikku told newsmen here to-day.

Till 1967 only 9,000 square miles of the 148.060 square miles requiring to be surveyed had been made but the pace picked up after the ships equipped themselves with modern electronic gadgets, he said.
