Mr. Prabhakar answers it simply, “Because we, as a literate, progressive society, deserve better governance.” He was addressing the audience in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday at the release of his book, Naam Namme Kollayadikkumbol, which he claims is an account of the corruption and institutional failure he had to wade through and “occasionally be a silent witness” to in his long years as a civil servant.
