A college student, identified as Aditya Myageri, was found dead in his room at Girinagar in Dharwad on April 28. Later, it came to light that a few police personnel had allegedly harassed him, and tried to extort money from him although he had tested negative for drugs during a raid carried out by the police on April 25. The policemen had demanded money to remove his name from the case.
