JOTHI RAMALINGAM At the golden jubilee award function of The Madras Voluntary Blood Bureau (MVBB) on Tuesday, speakers traced the journey of mobilising voluntary blood donors to ensure reliable and steady supply of blood for hospitals. Donors, institutions and organisations that played a role in promoting voluntary blood donation received awards on the occasion. Taking part in the event, Viswanathan Anand, chess champion, acknowledged the role of volunteers who spread the word on blood donation and congratulated MVBB for their dedication. He also released an album on the occasion.
